Teachers deserve so much credit for everything that they do and even more so now. They helped our kids navigate through a very interesting year with mask, social distancing, zooms, and quarantines. At the end of every school year, we give our teachers a gift because we are so grateful for all that they poured into our kids all year long.
We have put together several gift ideas over the years and plan to share a few with you here. These can also be used for the first day of school or Teacher Appreciation Week.
Pizza Night Basket
Pizza night is a weekly occurrence in our home. Lately the boys have been into making their own pizzas and their favorite topping is hot dogs. Yes you read that right, hot dogs! My hubby grew up on hot dog pizza and has passed it on to our kids. I still preferred pepperoni and veggies. Any way you slice it, this gift basket will be a hit with your teachers. We included everything you need to make your own pizza at home like crust, sauce, seasonings, toppings, baking stone, pizza cutter, pot holder, tablecloth, plates, and napkins. Also be sure to download and print the FREE printable to go along with your basket. Time to make some dough!
Movie Night Bucket
This simple idea includes everything they need to have an exciting movie night at home. Since movie theaters are currently closed due to COVID19, you can help them bring the movie experience home. In the popcorn bucket, we included gourmet popcorn kernels, popcorn flavoring, butter topping, tons of candy, gift certificate to a movie theater, and several fun printables. The gift cards can be redeemed online to rent/buy movies to watch at home or to use at the theater when it opens back up. Hadley Designs created these fun movie night printables that we used and even laminated a couple for repeat use. My favorite was the one with several popcorn recipes! Yum!
Garden Flower Bucket
All women love flowers and this was so beautiful to put together! Inside a flower pot, we included a bag of potting soil, gardening gloves, kneeling knee pad, gardening tools, and a flower plant. Several of the gardening tools came from Vera Bradley and we color coordinated it all to match. We topped it off with a favor tag from Divine Party Design that read, ‘Thanks for helping me grow this year’.
Summer S’mores Kit
Who doesn’t love Smores? This kit will let them have s’more fun all summer long. Inside a cooler bag, we included roasting sticks, honey graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, fudge stripes cookies, peanut butter cookies, multiple flavors of marshmallows, Hershey chocolate bars, Reese’s cups, York peppermint patties, and gourmet chocolate squares. You could even include some s’mores recipes. My favorite combination includes fudge stripes cookies, Carmel Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares, and coconut marshmallows!
Summertime Beach Bag
This is the perfect gift for a day at the beach or pool. Inside the beach bag, we included a towel, beach cosmetic bag, flip flops, tumbler, sunscreen, hair ties, flavor on-the-go drink packets, personal fan, and magazine. Vera Bradley has the cutest coordinating patterns that make it super easy. My favorite pattern this year is the Sea Life pattern. These editable gift tags were purchased from MabbRose Designs.
2021 Beach Bag Upate
We love supporting local with Vera Bradley and they really do have the best beach bags. This year we added a towel, wine, and suntan oil. Feel free to download this year’s free printable to match.
Nacho Average Teacher
If you haven’t caught on yet, I love a good theme. Plus chips and salsa are my love language. This nacho themed gift is the perfect way to show appreciation to our teachers. Inside each beverage bucket from the Target dollar spot, we included tortilla chips, 2 kinds of salsa, cheese dip, nacho jalapenos, cactus mason jar, cactus plates & napkins, cactus towels, and ready to drink margaritas. A Bucket Full of Sunshine
We also love to start the year off right with a gift on the first day of school. It could simply be school supplies or you could color coordinate items like in this bucket filled with everything yellow. Included in the bucket was Lysol wipes, Lysol spray, yellow notebooks, yellow folders, yellow post it notes, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, butterscotch candy, lemonade drink mixes, lemon gum, yellow pencils, and yellow highlighters. The sign on the front was printed on cardstock and read ‘A Bucket Full of Sunshine To Brighten Your Classroom’. Huge hit with the teachers!
Tickled Pink Your Are My Teacher Crate
Another fun color theme idea for teachers is a crate filled with all things pink. Included in a pink crate was a pink pattern journal, pink notebook, pink pattern pens, pink sharpie, pink post it notes, pink erasers, pink lip gloss, raspberry Ghirardelli squares, rose scented lotion, pink pattern tumbler, pink folders, classic bubblegum, pink starburst, mini supply kit in pink case, and room fresher in a pink bottle. Finished it off with a tag that read, ‘I’m tickled Pink That You’re My Teacher’.
Christmas Hot Chocolate and Fuzzy Socks
What teacher doesn’t dream of spending their Christmas break watching Hallmark movies. Give them the gift of hot chocolate and fuzzy socks to help them have a relaxing break.
I hope you find these ideas helpful. Our teachers have loved each of them and I know yours will too. I am excited to create our next idea. Comment below with your go to teacher gift.
