Moving into a new neighborhood can feel overwhelming, so I wanted to make our new neighbors feel extra welcome with a fun and thoughtful gift. Instead of a typical store-bought present, I decided to go the DIY route and create something both personal and practical—a S’mores Caddy! Here’s how it all came together.
The Idea: Making S’more Memories
When I think about s’mores, I think of cozy nights around the fire, laughter, and making lasting memories with friends and family. So, I wanted to gift my neighbors something that could inspire those kinds of moments in their new home. I had a metal caddy on hand, and the idea of a s’mores kit popped into my head!
Using my Cricut, I personalized the outside of the caddy by adding the words “Making S’more Memories.” It’s a cute play on words that ties into the gift’s theme perfectly. Cricut is such a great tool for adding custom touches, and this project was no exception.
Filling the Caddy: The Essentials for S’mores Fun
Once the design was on, it was time to fill the caddy with all the essentials for a perfect s’mores night. Here’s what I included:
- Marshmallows: Because what’s a s’more without them?
- Graham Crackers: A crunchy base for all that gooey goodness.
- Chocolate: I went with the classic milk chocolate bars.
- Fudge-Striped Cookies: These are a fun alternative to the traditional s’mores! Just sandwich a roasted marshmallow between two cookies for an easy treat.
- Roasting Sticks: To make sure they’re all set for a backyard fire pit or even a stovetop s’mores experience.
Finishing Touches: Tag and Ribbon
To complete the gift, I designed a printable tag that matched the s’mores theme, tied it to the caddy with a ribbon, and voilà—my DIY s’mores gift was ready to deliver! It’s simple but thoughtful, and I hope it brings a smile to their faces as they settle into their new home.

Why I Love This Project
This DIY s’mores caddy is not only a fun and unique way to welcome new neighbors, but it’s also something that encourages connection and shared experiences. Whether they use it right away or save it for a cool fall evening, I like to think this little gift will spark some “s’more” memories for them as they get to know the neighborhood.
