Welcome your Elf on the Shelf back with the help of the green man himself, the Grinch! Throw a themed breakfast for your little who’s and they’ll feast, feast, feast. They’ll feast on who-pancakes and rare who’s dipped marshmallows. Every year we welcome back our Elf on the Shelf with a special breakfast. We have done themes like Polar Express, Red & Green, Snowman, and even Disney when we announced that they were going on their first Disney Cruise. Bring your Elf on the Shelf back with a bash too!
The Set Up
Of course there had to be green but buffalo check has been my recent obsession for the holidays. Plus when I saw these plates from Who Stole Christmas on Etsy, I knew that I had to have them. The table would not be complete without a Grinch tree. I searched high and low before finding this potted cypress at our local grocery store. Add some lights and a red bulb ornament to the top weighted down with sand and voila! You have a Grinch tree!

Pajamas
It is not Christmas in our house without matching pajamas. These adorable Grinch pajamas were made special order for us from Birdie James Embroidery. They always so an amazing job and we have purchased from them for many years. These Grinch stocking hats from Barnes and Noble, completed the look!
The Feast
The Grinch throws the best breakfast with green tree pancakes, heart shaped Rice Krispie treats, grinch Santa hat fruit skewers, green heart pretzels, strawberry mini muffins, green chocolate dipped marshmallows and green jello layered parfaits. We have made the Christmas tree pancakes a couple times now and the sparkler star topper was amazing lit up!
Small gift, gift, gift
Besides the memory making breakfast, we usually get the boys something little to kick off the holiday. Their first gift of Christmas in a way. I usually have a few Christmas items purchased by then and just grab from that stash.
We have watched the movie numerous times. In fact my three year old only wanted to watch the Grinch for weeks and weeks this summer. Who knew? Anyways, have you ever stopped and wondered about the meaning behind the funny kid movie? The misunderstood Grinch hated Christmas for what it stood for. It stood for getting the latest and greatest toys and gadgets and not about the things that mattered most. Like being with family! Spend time this season to share in love, laughter, and crazy awkward family photos. Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more! Share in the comments how you welcome your Elf on the Shelf back.
