This summer may look a little different but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun. Yes, I won’t deny that canceled vacations are a bummer. Most people have a hard no on flying right now due to the pandemic. However, there are still plenty of things to do and places to visit that are just a short drive away.
Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors plus its super easy to social distance this way too. Lots of families are getting back to nature with family hikes and bike rides. I will admit, we held off putting together a summer bucket list for 2020 because of all the uncertainty. Who knows what we will actually be able to do or even feel comfortable doing. Most places are starting to open up here in Indiana and we are projected to be completely back open around July 4th.
Making A Summer Bucket List
Conduct a family brainstorming session so everyone can contribute their ideas. The boys and I get together to come up with ideas and use our previous lists as reference. Each family’s bucket list will be different and that is what makes it your own. Here is our list of over 100 Summer Bucket List Ideas to help to add to your list.
Creating Inspiration
The most important part is to have fun! Don’t treat this list like a ‘to-do’ list but use it more for inspiration. Try not to stress about completing everything on this list during the summer because you likely won’t finish it all. Our family has made a Summer Bucket List every year for the last 7 years and we have never completed everything on it. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to be more intentional and schedule time together as a family.
FREE Summer Bucket List Printable
Each year, we print off our list once it is completed and display it in a high traffic area of the house. Ours is posted in the pantry and probably the most visited room in the whole house with 3 boys. This year I designed a Summer Bucket List to share with you all too. I created two versions for you to choose from. Option one, 8.5 x 11 size that you can print at home. Option two, 16 x 20 size that you can print at a local copy and print store. I hope you love it as much as I do! Feel free to share the link with friends too.
