Toddler Boy Room Makeover – Things That Go

I am so excited to finally share with you the bedroom makeover that we completed for our youngest boy.  It was long overdue since he outgrew his toddle bed.  I think I was holding on to the last bit of him being a baby for as long as I could.  Like most little boys, he is into all things racing cars and automobiles.  We must have a million matchbox and hot wheels cars.  He could play for hours on playmats running the cars along the roads and this became my inspiration for his room.

Are you looking to makeover your toddlers bedroom or change up your preschoolers current room, then keep following along for all the details to recreate this room in your home.

HOW TO CREATE A VIRTUAL LEARNING SPACE FOR KIDS

There has been a lot of uncertainty during this past year with a pandemic and kids virtual learning at home.  However, one thing that I know for sure is that teachers don’t get enough credit.  We went from in school learning to virtual learning overnight and we all had to adapt very quickly.  Each of the boys needed a space to set up and complete school at home.  One boy was in the dining room, another in the kitchen, and a third in the living room.  It was chaos especially with us both working from home, but we made it…barely!  We have always wanted to complete a homework station for the boys, and this was just the push that we needed to get it all done.

After the initial stay at home orders, we weren’t sure if or when the boys would be going back to school.  Once we did go back to school in person, the boys were sent home at different times to quarantine in the fall and winter months.  Even if you are not virtual learning or homeschooling, this space would be great to have for homework and arts & crafts.

What I Love About You Valentine’s Day Heart Tradition

It doesn’t matter if your primary love language is words of affirmation or another love language, being reminded just how special you are is always welcomed.  No, you don’t need to become Romeo and profess your love looking up to someone on a balcony.  Just simple words verbal or written can fill their love bucket.

Polar Express North Pole Breakfast

All aboard The Polar Express!  This year our elf on the shelf, Snowball, arrived back for the Christmas season riding on the Polar Express.  Christmas is the perfect time of the year to indulge in special family traditions like the North Pole Breakfast.  I secretly love the idea of using the Elf to help keep the boys in line.  I also enjoy moving the Elf around in fun mischievous ways, that is when I remember to move it.  The North Pole Breakfast is a festive way to bring a little magic to your family’s holiday season.

Delivery Driver Snack Basket Idea and Sign

With Christmas just a few weeks away, our delivery drivers are working extra hard with longer hours.  I don’t know about you, but we are getting deliveries every day and multiple times a day.  Only down side is that I can’t hide all the packages from the husband when he works from home right now.  2020 has been a different year to say the least and every delivery driver has been working hard all year during this pandemic.  More than ever, we wanted to show our appreciation by providing refreshments for the road.

Rain, snow, or shine, these delivery drivers have showed up day after day.  Now with the added pandemic, they could be considered front line workers.  Without them, many of us wouldn’t have the things we needed this year especially when the whole country was shelter in place or in quarantine.  Never been more grateful for toilet paper!  Many thanks to them and their families for the work they do and the sacrifices that they made.

Candy Land Birthday Party with Candy Bar

Life just got a whole lot sweeter with this Candy Land birthday party.  What little kid won’t love to have their candy-coated dreams come true?  Even this big kid has a sweet tooth.  Most of us can remember playing this timeless board game as a child.  Lately, playing Candy Land with our 4-year-old has become a daily occurrence in our home.  Although, I am impressed that he already knows how to stack the deck.

Planning a birthday party? Throw a Candy Land birthday party for your little birthday boy or girl.  This party includes all the sweet and sugary goodness of a candy bar, brightly colored table setting, tons of iconic decorations, DIY balloon garland, and even yard signs for your next birthday parade.  Check out the party decorations that you see here and more at Shingdiz.com.

YOU’VE BEEN BOOZED WITH FREE PRINTABLE

Who says that the kids get to have all the fun! If you were around for a recent post you saw the ‘You’ve Been BOOed’ baskets that we put together for our neighbors with the FREE printable signs. Our boys had such a great time secretly delivering them to neighbor friends and I hope they enjoyed them just as much we did. However, the fun doesn’t have to stop there.

The adults can join in with an adult only version of ‘You’ve Been Boozed’. Instead of candy and Halloween treats for the whole family, replace it with bottles of wine, margarita mix, vodka, or whatever you choose.
