Valentine’s Day Decorating Ideas for Your Home

As Valentine’s Day draws near give your home some romantic touches.  For me, I never really celebrated this holiday much until I had kids.  After all the fun of Christmas, Valentine’s Day just felt empty like it needed something.  Plus I needed a way to chase away the winter blues.  Decorating with love of reds, pinks, and fresh flowers definitely did the trick.

I tend to lean toward more of a farmhouse style in my decor.  Although I must admit, it was harder to find items for this holiday than others.  So I searched more handmade options from sites like Etsy or from unique local stores.

Summer Camps in Fort Wayne 2020

It is hard to believe that Summer is right around the corner.  With the groundhog not seeing his shadow and all the warmer temperatures lately, our family is excited to get outside again soon.  Every year at this time, we start signing up for summer camps and activities.  Believe it or not most places start opening their registration right now in February.

6 Easy Ways to Transition to Winter Decor After Christmas

It’s the New Year and for most people, it means that it is time to take down the Christmas decorations.  We usually wait until New Year’s Day or the first weekend after to start.  Every year, I get the same feeling when I take it all down.  The feeling of the winter blues creeping in.  The house is bare and the celebrations have all ended.  However last year I left up a few white wintery decorations and this year I went all in with the cozy winter white decorations.  Just makes you want to snuggle up by the fire.

Glow In The Dark New Year’s Eve Countdown Party

Any kid would love to stay up and welcome the New Year with a glow in the dark party!  You might even be considered the cool mom.  It’s the perfect party theme for passing the time until the ball drops.  We incorporated hourly activities to keep the boys entertained.  It worked out great because we all made it until midnight and had a blast doing it.
