We are living in a whole new world during this COVID-19 pandemic.  Federal health officials are now recommending that we cover our faces when we go out in public places.  Given this recommendation, homemade face masks have now become essential items.  As parents, we are all trying to do the best we can to protect our family. That means we should all have masks for every member of our family in case of emergencies.  If you would of asked me if I would ever imagine writing a post about DIY face masks, I would of thought you were crazy but here we are.

YOU’VE BEEN EGGED! FREE PRINTABLES

For so many of us, everything seemed to have cancelled overnight including holiday celebrations.  The stay at home/ shelter in place orders will likely affect Easter celebrations as well.  Along with not being able to attend Church, Easter egg hunts will probably not occur either.  I know the ones that we planned on attending already cancelled.  Since we are living in a time of so much uncertainty, I find myself wanting to spread JOY.  Seeing people find light in their seemingly dark days is therapy to my soul that I desperately need right now.  

When I thought about ways to share light and spread joy from home, I was reminded of a neighborhood tradition that we participated in around Halloween called ‘You’ve Been Booed’.  I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if we could provide a basket of goodies and an egg hunt for families?  You’ve Been Egged idea was born!

Fort Wayne Mad Ants Basketball: Fun for the Whole Family

Throw an Army Themed Family Valentine’s Dinner for Your Troops: Love is a Battlefield

Valentine’s Day is a day that we enjoy celebrating as a family.  Don’t get me wrong, my hubby and I still go out another night too.  However with a house full of all boys, it can be challenge to get them excited for Valentine’s Day.  They are just not that into fluffy teddy bears or heart shaped boxes so I had to come up with a different plan.  I actually got the decorating idea for this ‘Love is a Battlefield’ dinner while making their Valentines for school.
